
Former player and head coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, named the Italian AC Milan under Arrigo Sacchi as the best team in the history of football.
Milan, with van Basten, Rijkaard, Gullit, Baresi, and Maldini. That team won so many games. Sacchi’s side was an impressive team.
To recall, Arrigo Sacchi was AC Milan’s head coach from 1987 to 1991 and also in the 1996-1997 season. Under his leadership, the team won the Italian championship, the Supercoppa Italiana, two European Cups, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Intercontinental Cup.
During his playing career, Zinedine Zidane represented clubs such as Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus, and Real Madrid. FIFA recognized him as the best player in the world three times. The Frenchman retired from professional football in 2006.
It is also worth noting that Zidane won the UEFA Champions League three times in a row (2016, 2017, 2018) as Real Madrid’s coach and led Madrid to two La Liga titles (2017, 2020).
