Legend Michael Holding to call time on commentary career

Known as “Whispering Death” for his smooth bowling run-up and precise bowling during the 70s and 80s, the West Indies legend Michael Holding has decided to call time on his commentary career. It would not be a stretch to say that the former pacer also replicated his smooth style in the commentary box and brought sharp analysis with his polished voice, winning the hearts of cricket fans across the globe.

Holding also became a keen advocate of the “Black Lives Matter” movement and revealed a lot about racism during his playing days in a Sky Documentary. Michael started commentating in 1988 and after spending 33 years in commentary, quoted his age as a reason for retiring. The 67 years old featured in the West Indies side from 1975 to 1987 and registered 249 wickets in 60 tests, 142 scalps in 102 ODIs.
