Aldo to become UFC Hall of Fame member

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will become a member of the UFC Hall of Fame. It became known during the UFC 283 tournament, which took place on January 22 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).

Dana White, quoted by Sherdog
Jose Aldo is the greatest featherweight of all time. From WEC to UFC, Jose helped us build the sport of MMA and UFC as a brand. It will be an honor to induct him into the UFC Hall of Fame this summer.

Aldo ended his mixed martial arts career after losing to Merab Dvalishvili in August 2022 at UFC 278. Despite remaining under contract with the UFC, he says Dana White, the promotion's president, promised to allow him to compete in any sport but mixed martial arts. Aldo, 36, had 31 wins, 17 of which were by knockout, and eight losses.
