Famous UFC commentator Jon Anik has revealed that former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje will try to get guarantees from the league about a title shot.
Jon Anik on his podcast
I talked a lot with Gaethje this week. He was pissed. [Gaethje] feels like he was passed over in favor of Charles Oliveira. What Justin Gaethje and his manager are looking for is some sort of guarantee that they will be next.
Recall, earlier it became known that the former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria will fight for the vacant title in the lightweight division with Charles Oliveira.
Gaethje last fought against Rafael Fiziev this past March at UFC 313. Justin won that fight, which went the full distance, by unanimous decision. He has 26 wins and five losses on his record.
