Former UFC champion in two divisions, Jon Jones, answered whether he would be interested in fighting Fedor Emelianenko in a boxing match.
Jones said in a conversation with IBA.PRO CEO Al Siesta, which was published on social media by Red Corner MMA:
No one wants to see Fedor and I fight, I don’t want to fight Fedor, I absolutely love Fedor, he’s been one of my big idols for a long time. It’s the same with Anderson Silva, these guys inspired me in my youth and that will never change.
Jones last fought Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309, winning by technical knockout in the third round and defending his UFC heavyweight title. His record stands at 28 wins and one loss, with one fight ruled a no contest.
Fedor Emelianenko's last fight took place in February 2023 during the Bellator 290 tournament, where he faced Bellator Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader from the United States.
Fedor suffered a technical knockout defeat in the first round of this fight. His overall record in mixed martial arts stands at 40 wins and seven losses.
