PFL founder Donn Davis has confirmed that the most likely opponent for Francis Ngannou's league debut is former world boxing champion Deontay Wilder.

Wilder's last fight was against Robert Helenius in October 2022. This confrontation was stopped in the first round and ended in Deontay's favor with a knockout. He has 43 wins (42 by knockout), one draw and two losses.
