Professional commentator Matthew Sadokist Trivett has been suspended from covering the IEM Rio Major 2022.
This was reported by Dust2.us, citing its sources. The journalists noticed that Sadokist was absent from the English-language broadcasts in the first round of the Legends stage. Anders Anders Blume took his place. Supposedly Sadokist was suspended because of an incident involving alcohol and emergency services. The caster may have been mentally disturbed.
The tournament organizer ESL confirmed the suspension and replacement of Sadokist in a commentary for the portal. However, no reasons were given. Now Anders, who previously attended the majors as an observer, will be the English-language studio caster until the end of the tournament.
Legends stage matches at the IEM Rio Major 2022 take place from November 5 to 8. The teams are competing for playoff slots in the major.
