ENCE CS:GO team coach Eetu sAw Saha commented on his team's victory at IEM Dallas 2023 exclusively for Telecomasia.net.
The 30-year-old Finnish coach said that his team's players were prepared for the triumph:
I think we approached the finals well prepared and ready to play. There was a little tension and excitement, which is only natural before a grand final. However, before the match everyone was determined to win and focused on their work to help the team win. I think that determination was evident in everyone's eyes, and it helped us cross the finish line. MOUZ is a good team, and they had their chances in the match, but we just managed to execute our game plan very well, and we had individual wins in key rounds.
The ENCE coach also shared his opinion on the MVP of IEM Dallas 2023:
SunPayus has taken tremendous steps to improve his skills. He was very good before he joined us, but he has adapted very well to the international style of play and has become more aggressive on the maps. I would say he has become a more stable player both game-wise and mentally. I think there are no limits for him as long as he continues to work hard.
IEM Dallas 2023 was held from May 29 to June 4 at LAN in Dallas, USA. ENCE was the tournament champion, defeating MOUZ 2-0 in the final. SunPayus' squad earned $100,000 in prize money for first place and a slot at IEM Cologne 2023. The second finalist received $42,000.
According to HLTV statistics, SunPayus was recognized as the most valuable player of the event. The Spaniard played 11 maps with an average rating of 1.27. His best map statistically was Nuke against Complexity (1.80) in Group B and his worst was Mirage against FaZe (0.80) in the semifinals. It was the first MVP award of Garcia's career.
