Moroccan tennis player Younes Rachidi is banned for life for participating in 135 match-fixing offenses. It is reported by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA).
Rachidi, 36, was found guilty of all charges and holds the record for the most offenses discovered by the ITIA. He is banned from playing, practicing or attending any event that is sanctioned by the governing bodies of tennis. The Moroccan was also fined $34,000.
Rachidi, who never rose above the 753rd position in the world singles rankings, was involved in arranged matches with two Algerian players who were previously disqualified by the ITIA. Belgian law enforcement authorities were engaged in solving the crimes.
