Thailand Women tie T20 cricket series versus Zimbabwe

Thailand women recovered from a heartbreaking loss in the first game against the Zimbabwe women as they beat them by a wide margin of 53 runs. Thailand batted first and piled up 154 runs meanwhile Zimbabwe got bowled out and crumbled at the score of 101, remaining out of the contest for the most part.

Thailand won the toss and elected to bat first as opener Natthakan Chantham made a blistering 65-ball 88 comprising ten fours and two sixes. Thailand women compiled 49 runs in the last 5 overs as captain Naruemoi Chaiwai remained unbeaten at 20 off 15. A target of 155 runs looked troublesome from the outset Zimbabwe lost three wickets for 23 runs within five overs. The collapse continued and only Precious Marange looked comfortable for Zimbabwe as she made 30 off 29 balls. For Thailand, Nattaya Bootcham claimed four wickets for just 16 runs, bundling them out with three balls to spare.
