Thai women have come back from a big loss in third unofficial One-dayer to level the series at two each. Zimbabwe women won the toss and elected to bat first putting up 212 runs on the board, a target which Thailand achieved with 23 balls and five wickets to spare. The series is well poised now as the winner of the next game is going to win it as the preparation for Women’s Cricket World Cup 2021 Qualifiers reaches its full swing for both squads.

After slamming a fifty in the previous encounter, Chipo Mugeri-Tiripano continued her run with an anchoring 58 runs innings adding 70 runs for third wicket with Modester Mupachikwa. She had another sixty plus partnership with Precious Marange but fell on the score of 155. Precious made 66 runs, leading all run scorers but a tight Thai bowling unit limited Zimbabwe to 212. Thailand Women began solidly with the openers putting up 52 runs but then three wickets fell for just 9 runs. However, Wongpaka Liengprasert and Nannapat Koncharoenkai added a precious 64 runs for the fourth wicket but both fell in a space of 13 runs as Thailand needed a strong finish, still ending 75 runs. This is where Chanida Sutthiruang made a fabulous 49-ball 52 runs and compiled an unbeaten partnership with Sornarin Toppich who looked in great touch with a 34-ball 29 runs innings.
