Namibia women vs Uganda women: Namibia and Uganda engaged in an intense tussle during their opening WT20 Qualifiers game. Kayleen Green put up an incredible batting performance leading Namibia to 105/4 scoring 54 off just 49 deliveries as Uganda’s Stephanie Nampiina kept it tight with 15 runs off four overs. Uganda got a wonderful contribution from Immaculate Nakisuuyi who made 36 off only 31 balls and fell at the score of 77 with Uganda needing 29 of the last three overs with six wickets in hand. Uganda got extremely close to achieving the target, needing just 6 runs off the last 3 balls but the bowler Wilka Mwatile held her nerve to cap off a Namibia win.

Mozambique women vs Rwanda women: In a bizarre game, Rwanda dismissed Mozambique for a scanty 17 runs as the 10 extra runs led the run tally for the latter and the top score came from Ofelia Moiane who got only three runs. Immaculee Muhawenimana clinched four of the wickets and claimed the Player of the Match award. Rwanda chased the target in a mere thirteen balls in what could be the most lopsided win in international T20 cricket history.
