The Twins started the season with a home showdown against the Seattle Mariners and lost the first two games 1-2 and 3-4. But then Minnesota's offense woke up in the third game, 10-4. And in the fourth game it was the defense that woke up, 4-0. A tie at the end of the series, considering its start, is not a bad result for the Twins.
Chris Archer, an experienced 33-year-old Twins rookie who previously played for Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay, will pitch for Minnesota in their upcoming game against the Dodgers. Archer played just six games for the Tampa Bay Rays last season, five of them in starts, and finished the league with a 4.66 ERA and 1-1 in wins and losses.
The Dodgers nailed the high ground
Playing away against Colorado is always difficult. So a 1-2 in the series between the Dodgers and Rockies isn't surprising at all. Interestingly, the Californians took the first game 5-3, but then lost twice in a row, 2-3 and 4-9.
The starter for the Dodgers in the upcoming game will be Andrew Heaney. The 30-year-old pitcher managed to play for two teams last season, the Los Angeles Angels and New York Yankees, and finished the championship with an 8-9 and 5.83 ERA.

The Dodgers have six straight wins against the Twins. However, the last time the rivals met was back in 2017.

Minnesota finished the series with Seattle perfectly, and they may well smash the Los Angeles Dodgers on the wave of success. Moreover, the Dodgers traveled to Minneapolis from Denver and, judging by their starting pitcher options, may not expect to do much in game one.
