Boston Celtics vs Orlando Magic Prediction: The Celts elite offense take on inspired Magic

The NBA season has brought to us a bunch of memorable battles and as we head deeper, the scene is only going to heat up more. Injuries, fatigue, and trades are all going to play a crucial role as the season advances. In this Regular Season game, the Boston Celtics will take on the Orlando Magic. 

Boston Celtics

The Celtics enter the affair after beating the Lakers 122:118 in an Overtime affair as Jayson Tatum had a monster 44 points night. The Celtics took a big lead in the first half but a 5:32 run against them derailed the effort, and despite being down by 13 points with four+ minutes to go, the Celtics turned it around with some incredible play. They have backed their last season's Finals performance by being the best offensive team, averaging around 120 points a game.

Jayson Tatum is averaging over 30 points a game whereas Jaylen Brown is averaging around 25 points a game, so even if one of them has an off-night, the other can pick it up. The bench is deep with guards Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon who are a great support for defensive dynamo Marcus Smart. Al Horford has been vital during the run on both ends and his absence has caused lineup imbalance more often than not. Grant Williams, Blake Griffin, and Sam Hauser round off a strong Forward rotation.

Orlando Magic

The Magic enters the game after defeating the Hawks 135:124 as Franz Wagner rolled in 24 points. Orlando has now won four in a row and this was an unprecedented run for a team that began the season with 20 losses and five wins. The Magic was expected to have such a low win percentage considering they have a bunch of youngsters in the lineup and one of the least productive Guard rotation, Their biggest weaknesses are assists and turnovers, they rank second worst in assists and fourth-worst in turnovers, and their assists to turnovers ratio is second worst in the league.

The Frontline depth looks highly enticing with rookie Paolo Banchero scoring over 20 points a game. Franz Wagner has overcome an average start and is now scoring 20+ at a high clip. Wenderll Carter Jr.’s progress has been hindered by injuries whereas Bol Bol has been amazing on both ends and is become the fan-favorite league-wise. Cole Anthony hasn’t taken the next step whereas Jalen Suggs has been rather too inconsistent. The Magic has one of the least experienced teams and are heading to the lottery.
