The inconsistencies at the offensive end have now carried over to the defense and after being an elite defense last season, things have changed for the Mavs.

Luka Doncic is having his usual MVP-styled season but the trajectory of the season means he isn’t going to achieve the award. Jalen Brunson’s departure has taken away a major scoring option. Spencer Dinwiddie and Christian Wood have had some substantial scoring efforts but overall, the team’s lack of depth has hurt them. Mavs are now heading into a tricky territory and need some trades for sure.
