Alabama Crimson Tide

Alabama marches into the affair after defeating Texas A & M-Corpus Christi 96:75 as Nick Pringle stacked up 19 points and 15 rebounds. Mark Sears had 15 points and three assists whereas Jahvon Quienrly had 13 points. Nimari Burnett had 11 points and six rebounds whereas Charles Bediako had nine points and eight rebounds. The rebounding game was certainly strong for Alabama which collected 48 rebounds. Alabama is one of the best offensive teams in the league and they are the top-ranked team for a reason. Their defense will be turned on further in the tourney.

Maryland Terrapins

Maryland comes into the game after a close 67:65 win against West Virginia on the back of a Julian Reese scooped up 17 points and nine rebounds. Hakim Hart also had a strong game, nabbing 15 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Don Carey banged home three triples to lead the squad in three-pointers. Maryland did a much better job inside and in the end, the team ended up with a 51.1% field goal. The team was outrebounded on the offensive end, conceding 8-16. Maryland was sloppy in the first ten minutes of the last game, something they can’t afford again.

As stated above, Maryland will need to be more focused than the last game. Alabama punishes the opposition even for the minutest of lapses and they have ensured that they also remain focused on the defensive end. They are terrific on the offensive end and can soak up some dry nights from their scorers too. That’s why I expect them to win big.
