Manuel Fernandes

Manuel Henrique Tavares Fernandes is a famous Portuguese professional footballer, midfielder from Cape Verde. He started at Benfica and played for a club from Lisbon, then in English Portsmouth, Everton, Spanish Valencia, Turkish Beşiktaş and Kayserispor, Russian Lokomotiv and Krasnodar, as well as the Greek Apollo.

He played 15 matches for the Portuguese national team, scoring three goals. He won the Liga Portugal, the Portuguese Cup, and the Portuguese Super Cup with Benfica. With Valencia, he won the Spanish Cup and the Turkish Cup while at Beşiktaş. Manuel is the champion and three-time winner of the Russian Cup with Lokomotiv.
