The French Open men's and women's championship 2022 will take place at Stade Roland Garros, Paris from Sunday, May 22 to Sunday, June 5. The overall prize money for the Grand Slam is €43.6m, which is 6.8% more than the 2019 prize money. Each winner from the men's and women’s singles will receive €2.2m, which is €800,000 more compared to what the 2021 champions received.

According to the authorities, the 2020 and 2021 tournaments faced a huge 10.8% reduction in the total prize money because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news is that the French Open 2022 prize money will increase by 15.4% compared to 2021.
