Thailand’s opposition Democrat party is to return all the 4th generation iPads that were handed out to all members of parliament, accusing the government of using them to spy on opposition activity and communications.

Bangkok MP Samart Malulim accused the government of using taxpayer money to spy on the opposition so that they would know where each MP was and who he was communicating with.

Samart said that opposition leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and former ICT Minister Juti Krairiksh were in agreement and urged other opposition MPs to follow suit and return the devices.
