Chicago Fall Tennis: Collins beats Doi in a grueling game

Danielle Collins beat Misaki Doi in a three-set thriller with a scoreline of 4-6, 6-3, 7-5. Collins nailed seven aces in the game compared to none by Doi which seemed to be the turning point of the game. Collins also committed nine faults but Doi’s six faults evened out the advantage earned by Danielle through Aces. Danielle won 59 points compared to 42 by Misaki.

Garbine Murguza overcame Ann Li 6-4, 6-4. Ons Jabeur reeled in a win versus Su-Wei Hsieh registering a 6-1, 6-1 scoreline. Elise Mertens overcame Dayana Yastremska 6-1, 6-3.
