Brazil is the first team in history to use all 26 players in World Cup

The Brazilian national team has become the first team in history that used all 26 players included in the bid for the World Cup, reports portal Opta.

In the round of 16 match of the World championship-2022 in Qatar, Brazilian head coach Tite substituted the goalkeeper for Weverton in the 79th minute. Thus, the Brazilian national team engaged all 26 players declared for participation in the World Cup 2022. After the bid was expanded from 23 to 26 players, no other national team had been able to do so.

The Brazilian national team defeated South Korea with a score of 4-1 and reached the quarterfinals of World Cup 2022. In the quarter-finals Brazil will face the national team of Croatia. The meeting will take place on December, 9, beginning at 18:00 GMT+3.
