The data about visitors of the 2018 World Cup football matches held in Russia have been released to the public, the Telegram channel "Information Leaks" reported.
According to the source, the data of 1.7 million visitors of the matches was leaked: full name, date of birth, series and number of passport, phone number, e-mail.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup took place from June 14 to July 15. The games were held in 11 Russian cities such as Moscow, Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Kazan, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi and Yekaterinburg. France won the tournament, defeating Croatia 4-2 in the final.
The Russian national team reached the quarterfinals at their home World Cup, where they lost to Croatia in a penalty shootout - 2:2 (3:4).
Earlier, former Manchester United footballer Andrei Kanchelskis claimed that matches at the 2018 World Cup were rigged. Honorary President of the RFU Vyacheslav Koloskov called this statement ridiculous.
