Tasmania Government gives permission for WBBL to continue

Tasmania Government has given the approval for the WBBL to go ahead after Hobart declared an unforeseen three-day lockdown. The approval comes under the condition that the organizers should create a strict biosecurity bubble. Four fixtures are lined up through the weekend and seven of the eight teams are present in Tasmania. Hobart announced the lockdown after finding out a positive test in a New South Wales traveler, however, right now, there are zero community cases.

Today, the home side Hobart Hurricanes will host Melbourne Renegades for the first match. Meanwhile, the second match will take place between Sydney Thunder and Aledaide Strikers. Tomorrow, Perth Scorchers will face off against Brisbane Heat while to conclude the weekend, the home side Hurricanes take on Sydney Sixers.
