As we are inching closer to the start of the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup, it is really important that the squads and key players of Top 10 teams shall be discussed. The T20 Men’s Cup is set to kick off on 17th October 2021 to be held in UAE and Oman. 16 teams in total are going to participate in this tournament with top 8 teams in the ICC rankings already qualified for second round and 4 teams out of the remaining eight will qualify for the second round.

Afghanistan couldn’t qualify for the 2007 and 2009 world cups. They only managed to reach Round 1 in 2010, 2012, and 2014 world cups. Australia has never won the coveted T20 World Cup. They reached the semi-finals in 2007 but were knocked out by India. They reached all the way to the finals in 2010 but were defeated by England. Australia have performed poorly in T20’s this year as they lost against West Indies and Bangladesh recently. There are injuries related to Marcus Stoinis who was injured during an IPL game and Aaron Finch who is just returning from an injury. The Australian team hasn’t played a T20 game in months and the preparation hasn’t been great. They will be looking to regain their form and perform well in the world cup.
